The WCCI is a transnational educational organization committed to advancing the achievement of a just and peaceful world community. It was organized at the Asilomar, California, USA conference in 1970. WCCI is a non-governmental organization (NGO) of the United Nations in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

Membership: 
Members are concerned with curriculum and instruction in schools, colleges, universities, and community agencies or organizations such as teachers, instructors/professors, administrators, directors, supervisors, curriculum theorists, scholars and researchers, students, parents, and community leaders.
